Open the Stations screen and tap the calibration banner. Lay any standard bank card flat on the screen and drag the outline (or use the slider) until it lines up exactly with the card's edge. Every bank card is 85.6 mm wide, so once it matches, the spine guide will draw at true physical size on your device.
On the Plan screen, Kettle Stitch checks whether the grain of your chosen parent sheet can run parallel to the spine once it's cut and folded to your finished size. If it can only run across the spine, a warning appears — sewing along the grain keeps the pages from cockling and helps them turn cleanly.
Yes. Kettle Stitch runs entirely offline. Every project, plan, calibration and shelf entry is stored only on your device.
From the Shelf screen, add or open a book and tap the photo area. You can take a new photo with the camera or choose an existing one with the system photo picker.
Yes — open Settings from the Bench screen and switch the measurement unit at any time. Your choice is remembered.
